CHW TAP Program - 2025
March 11th - August 15th, 2025
The free Community Health Worker Training and Apprenticeship Program (CHW TAP) is for employees with 3 years or less of experience in Community Health Worker roles.
Training cohorts are offered year-round. Our next trainings are scheduled for March 31-April 11, June 2-13, and August 4-15.

Diabetes Empowerment Education Program
April 2nd - 4th, 2025
DEEP is a 3-day Diabetes Empowerment Education Program (DEEP) Peer workshop in Little Rock, AR on April 2-4, 2025. DEEP is a diabetes self-management education (DSME) program targeted for CHWs or pharmacy technicians to support clients living with diabetes. We’re also able to provide hotel accommodations for any out-of-town participants!
BEHAVIORAL HEALTH INTEGRATION CONFERENCE - 2025 Focus: Transforming Behavioral Health Care Through Collaborative Innovation
April 3rd, 2025/8:00 am - 4:30 pm
The 2025 schedule is packed with national experts on behavioral health integration, substancemisuse, and practice transformation. Attendees will have the opportunity to earn CEUs for the day, network with like-minded professionals, and learn evidence-based interventions.
Arkansas Suicide Prevention Update
April 10th, 2025/8:30 am - 11:30 pm
This half-day conference is open to medical professionals, educators, church leaders and members of the general public, will offer invaluable knowledge and resources designed to support individuals at risk for suicide. The event is sponsored by a Chancellor’s Circle Award from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
Research Day

The Translational Research Institute (TRI) proudly presents Research Day 2025, a dynamic 2-day event that showcases translational science advancements and fosters collaboration. Each year, Research Day features exceptional speakers from Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) hubs across the nation, highlights the achievements of TRI-supported researchers, provides excellent opportunities for networking, and facilitates connections with communities across the state.

4th Annual Dad’s Event
April 26th, 2025/10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Child Care Aware of West Central AR, Difference Makers of Hot Springs, and Diamonds in the Rough for our 4th Annual Dad's Event and family fishing derby at Family Park on April 26th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. This event is free and geared towards Dads and Father Figures of all ages and their families! Our goal is to provide resources along with fun, safe & affordable activities/ideas for you to do with your families. There will be free food, door prizes & local vendors ready to talk with you and answer all of your questions.
**Please Note: Everyone over 16 must have a valid AR o license. You must provide your own fishing equipment & bait.
