Battling Burnout: Self-Care for Community Health Workers

Summary:

In the demanding landscape of community health, the role of Community Health Workers (CHWs) is both essential and challenging. As these dedicated individuals tirelessly serve their communities, their own well-being can often take a back seat. The toll of emotional labor, overwhelming workloads, and the responsibility of caring for others can lead to burnout, adversely affecting both their personal lives and the quality of care they provide.

The "Battling Burnout: Self-care for Community Health Workers" webinar will provide CHWs with practical tools and strategies to help combat burnout and prioritize their own self-care without compromising the quality of care they deliver to their communities.

Speaker:

Tiffany F. Haynes, PhD

Associate Professor, Department of Health Behavior and Health Education

Assistant Dean of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
